Who We Serve

Open to Many Paths. United in One Faith.

Sanctuary Communities isn’t for one type of person. We welcome adults from many walks of life who share a common desire: to live in authentic Christian community. Residency is voluntary and not contingent on participation in any specific program or treatment.

Who Thrives Here?

01

Those Pursuing Clinical Services

Many residents come to Sanctuary Communities while receiving partial hospitalization (PHP) or outpatient treatment at Sanctuary Clinics. Our community provides a stable, faith-filled home to return to each evening, reinforcing the work done in treatment with the support of Christian fellowship. The combination of expert clinical care and authentic community creates optimal conditions for lasting transformation.
02

Those in Life Transitions

Sometimes life brings seasons of change: job loss, relationship endings, major moves, or simply a sense that something needs to shift. Sanctuary Communities offers a place to land during these transitions, a stable environment where you can discern next steps surrounded by people who will pray with you and encourage you.
03

Working Professionals

Some residents maintain their careers while living in community. They’ve discovered that the benefits of Christian fellowship, accountability, and daily spiritual practice outweigh the conveniences of living alone. They come home from work not to an empty apartment but to brothers and sisters in Christ.
04

Students

For students pursuing education, Sanctuary Communities provides structure, support, and spiritual grounding during a formative season of life. The discipline of community life complements academic pursuits, and the fellowship provides encouragement when studies feel overwhelming.
05

Those Exploring Ministry

Some residents come to Sanctuary Communities specifically to discern a call to ministry. Living in intentional Christian community provides both the training ground and the testing ground for ministry calling, surrounded by mentors and peers who can speak into your journey.
06

Those Seeking Deeper Fellowship

Perhaps the simplest reason people come: they want more. More community. More accountability. More daily practice of faith. More than the isolated, fragmented Christianity that modern life often produces. They want to experience what the early church experienced, and they find it here.

What We Require

While we welcome people from many backgrounds, residency at Sanctuary Communities requires:
  • A willingness to explore Christian faith and to participate in spiritual activities
  • Respect for community guidelines and fellow residents
  • Willingness to contribute to community life
  • A posture of growth and openness to accountability
  • Engagement in purposeful activity (work, education, treatment, or ministry)

For Families

If you’re researching options for a family member, we understand your concern. You want them in a safe, supportive environment where they’ll be known, encouraged, and held accountable. Sanctuary Communities offers exactly that. While we give residents significant autonomy, we also provide 24/7 staff presence, regular check-ins, and the natural accountability that comes from living alongside others who care. We’re happy to talk with you about whether Sanctuary Communities might be right for your loved one.
